Great lunch. LARGE portions. Meatloaf was Outstanding. If parking was better, easy 5 stars
Great place for breakfast and lunch, you just can not go by it.
The outside looks very small, but as you walk into the front room, you see 2 dinning rooms to the right.
A very friendly atmosphere, very relaxed and the wait staff is even more attentive then your mother. The meatloaf comes with mashed potatoes and a vegetable (3 choices), my husband loved this dish. I had a tuna melt on Italian bread, this was accompanied by fries.
The tuna was a perfect consistency and without onions!!! That is a huge plus, since onions are not my thing.
Breakfast is served all through lunch, and the platters going by me, to other tables, smelled and looked fantastic.
We are recommending McKays because it is clean, has a great menu, the waitstaff is attentive ( like at your best friend's home), and is not a hole in a wall. An important item to consider when you want to feel as you are not just $$$ walking in the door.
First time at this diner. The staff was very welcoming and the guest were great - even though I came in wearing a Philadelphia Eagles shirt! The food was cooked exactly as I asked and was very delicious. I think this may become a regular spot for me.
Best fresh seafood platter I've had in a long time!
EXCELLENT, prompt, and friendly service. I went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The food came quickly and the wait staff was attentive. There seemed to be a lot of regulars. Homemade home fries that are crisped on the griddle. Family-friendly and reasonable prices. My main negative is you have to find parking on the street, which was rough with the snow. My omelette would benefit from a little more salt, too. Otherwise, I recommend this place! I'd go again if I was in the area!
