The Local Wellesley

I'm from South Africa, visiting Boston for the first time and had the pleasure of dining here on my way to the airport :) I'm ever so grateful to have experienced this restaurant. The ambiance and style is exquisite, the service prompt and friendly - not to mention the historical photography which mesmerized the history buff in me. I had the "ENERGY BOWL" with an addition of grilled shrimp...it was SCRUMPTIOUS, fresh, crispy, tasty, FILLING and delicious. 10/10 ???? I squirted a bit of fresh lemon which complimented the flavors wonderfully. Thank you for a wonderful experience ????

Good menu options! The fig and prosciutto flatbread was the size of an entire pizza and delicious. The homemade donuts for dessert were to die for! Parking is not impossible but tricky when crowded - small parking lot - other businesses around have no parking signs, etc. Definitely a place to check out!!

In my two trips to The Local, I've been hugely impressed by the food, the drinks, and both the engagement and professionalism of the service. The location is extremely child friendly, despite having the atmosphere of a fancier restaurant. There isn't anything I'd change when I go back!

Excellent food and service! Loved the lobster roll. Our server was amazing, friendly and helpful as we discussed colleges in the area for our youngest son. Can't wait to go back!

Loved the decor too.

Always a good time at The Local. It's super popular so either make a reservation or come in during an off time. When there's large parties, service can get kind of iffy but never a bad experience. The food is delicious and on the higher price end but the environment is friendly and nice. Highly recommend the fried pickles and potato chips, they don't disappoint!
