Very good home made vodka drink. Food was good too. Nice place.

We visit this often when visiting our son at college. Diverse menu that has been consistently good. Offers both bar food and more upscale offerings in a casual, warm atmosphere complimented by good service. Outdoor dining available in warmer weather.

Been here at least 10 times before. Love the menu, portions and price are reasonable. HOWEVER, last night the place was filthy at 4 pm. Food under tables where we sat, tables have cardboard under legs to balance them and bathroom was unkept. When we received our food the portions were great, but two of us had cold mashed potatoes and cold sweet potato fries. The meat was cooked perfectly and hot.
Very important to time the food right. The server knew his cocktails for sure, as well, he immediately came back with another serving of hot food. No questions asked.... we were very pleased how quick they came with this. Nice job!!! Just need to focus on keeping the floors clean and fix the tables that were wobbly, otherwise, not a bad place locally to get a good meal!!!!

Love the small town feel, the coziness, seeing people I know on every trip there. The menu changes a bit with the season, which is nice. Bar is a fun place to sit and relax. Very nice pour for wine! The outside is fantastic in the summer with tables, another bar, and a "turf" area with bean bag toss, etc. I always recommend The Gavel to my real estate clients when they are new to town.
