Five Guys

They have really great food. The menu is not extensive, but what they have, they do right. I got a bacon cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms and grilled onions, plus a small fries and soda. They even post what farm the potatoes come from each day. The burger had two patties instead of one thicker one. I think that's how they can cook it fast and still have it totally flavorful and juicy ! It's served on a bun that is ever so lightly toasted. It is toasted just enough so the juicy burger and toppings don't make it soggy, but not toasted to the point where it has any toast flavor to interfere with the flavor profile of the sandwich. There is only one type of cheese - American. But, why offer anything else whenyouve found the best cheese for the burger. Ok, now you know why I love their burgers. Their fries are well seasoned and have bold potato flavor. The outside is firm, not soggy, and the inside has a flavor and texture of buttery mashed potato. They are great to go with anything. Now, I will share with you the BLT. Their bacon, lettuce and tomato is served on t&e same lightly toasted bun that is soft and delicious. Their BLT is legendary. The bacon is totally crispy, and there is not one smidgeon of fatty or limp bacon. The tomato is flavorful, and the lettuce is crispy. It comes with mayo on it but when asked, they are happy to make it without mayo. If you like BLTs, this is a place that makes them better than my grandmother (but I dare not say those words out loud !) The only problem with a Five Guys, is deciding on the BLT or a burger. I have been known to buy both. I eat my bacon cheeseburger with te fries, and take my BLT home for the next day !
