Great food. Although it was extremely busy, they did well to serve us properly and as quickly as practical considering their popularity and the fact we were there on one of the busiest time of the year being located in a tourist / beach side town. We will be visiting frequently.

Had breakfast during their "Soft Reopening" period, as they work out some logistics. The restuarant was packed on a rainy Thursday late morning (and did not slow down the whole time were were there) but the wait was only 5 minutes or so. We were greeted promptly and with a big smile. The place is open and bright, but very noisy with no soft surfaces to absorb sounds. So a little hard to talk. We sat against a wall in a table for two. I had a cushioned chair and my wife was in a hard bench style seat. The food took longer that hoped, and my omelette was a bit dry. My wife said her Eggs Benedict were good. Our server was very friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed. Topping off our coffee took a while and getting the bill also required us to flag her down. So overall the experience was good, they just need a little time to get the routine down. But also need to address the dinning room noise problem in my view.

It was suggested to me to have breakfast here, so I found my way and went inside. Apparently there was a fire here some time ago, and now there is a new owner. It is no longer a "cottage". It's more like a small school cafeteria. I sat myself at the 5-6 seat counter. Stainless steel as far as the eye can see. It would seem that the people behind the counter aren't there to wait on you. They're there to keep the silver and cups and things organized and flowing. A server finally came from behind me and took my order. Barely one egg scrambled, corned beef hash that was good, edible home fries, and dry toast that was kept in a bowl under a warmer. For some reason, the rye and raisin toast was being made for each plate as it became ready. Not sure about why. Perhaps the new touchscreen system and new digs made things take so long. Wasn't asked if things were O.K., but was finally offered another half a cup of coffee. The girls were nice, but frazzled with the system. I was looking forward to a homey breakfast. It just wasn't there.
