1855 Wine Bar Restaurant

We had an incredible dinner experience last night. Our waiter (Matthew) was so helpful with his recommendations and our meal and wine pairing was perfect. We can’t wait to return.

My wife and I went on a date here while visiting Boston and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, we tried the beef bourguignon and the beef risotto which were both tasty. They have a great wine list and our waiter was great at helping us choose and knowledgeable about the wines. You can also sit outside right on Newberry street on a nice night which is a ton of fun. You have to give 1855 a try!

This place was better than we expected. Didn’t go there with much in mind other than a Saturday night date night meal but it turned out to be so much better than we thought it would be! The food is great but what really made it was the service, very knowledgeable about the wines and took the time to explain and talk about each one in the wine flights we ordered, and yes they have wine flights! We really appreciated the attentive service and the rack of lamb was the best my husband has had and he ate lamb in Iceland which is supposed to be the best in the world. Highly recommend.
