Gaslight Brasserie du Coin

This is for drinks only. There is a parking lot here and if you come in for a drink, they'll validate and you don't have to pay the $20. The beer selection was small but interesting and the cocktails were good. The staff was kind and helpful. There were a few couples doing exactly what we did. One drink and then on our way to see the art galleries near by.

Wonderful food and service. Everything we ordered was really good. Server was very attentive.

Guys, take my word for it: Gaslight has the BEST french toast in town. Truly it's like eating perfect crispy yet fluffy little clouds. Based on the season they rotate the fruit topping, but the toast never gets old. Whenever I go with my boyfriend, we each order our own meal and then get this to share.

This review is for the drinks only. We came here after dinner in the South End, and ordered a total of 4 cocktails. At $14 each they are certainly not cheap, and I would dock them half a star for that. However, they were really tasty and strong, certainly the best we had during this trip to Boston. The interior is also really chic, and fortunately not too loud (tho to be fair it was half empty).

The service could have been better as felt like we were waiting around to place our order. But the staff was nice.

Nice brunch spot. Gets busy and some stuff sells out. Brunch specials are only available at certain times. Food is good and service is decent. Wouldn’t call this my favorite brunch spot but it’s definitely worth a visit.
