Handy's caters to my workplace (Pega,) and let me tell you, the barbecue is REALLY good. I'm from the south, so I measure my reviews against Memphis dry rub. The bark is perfectly seasoned, pork is flavorful and not dry at all. I'm not a huge sauce person- I'd rather the pork stand up on its own, but the sauce here is good- a little spicy but not crazy hot, and I don't feel like it overwhelms the taste of the pork at all. The Mac & cheese is made with bechamel, and the cole slaw is pretty good. The Chili is to die for- thick, dark dark brown, and oh so yummy. Give it a go... And, the person who cooks the food was SO nice. Always a bonus!
Great food, food takes a little while but it's worth it once you get your food. Don't come to this place when starving!
The prices are a bit high, ribs remind me of back home the bbq sauce a bit too sweet but the yams are on point. Other than that it is worth my $$
The ribs and greens are delicious. The chicken does not have flour and they have their own seasoning. Now depending on your taste buds you will either like or dislike it. The fries were not to my liking. They were greasy and unseasonsed.
I will try other dishes.
I recommend the ribs greens. AS of now I give them 3 1/2.
