Good food, service was a little slow but they were moderately busy for a Thursday lunch, so we didn’t mind. Can’t really go wrong here with the lobster roll. Come hungry if you’re ordering that solo! Otherwise, it’s a great size to split.
Restaurant itself could use a face lift. I much prefer the location in the seaport for that reason.
My sistas and I had the best time at Legal Seafood! We arrived around 430 pm with just enough time to order the Happy Hour $2 oysters. At our table, we were greeted by our very nice, cheerful, and friendly waiter AJ. For starters, the four of us each ordered the Happy Hour special and tried at least 1-3 different kinds of oysters - Black Magic, Wellys (?), and one other kind of oysters that were more meatier and bigger in size compared to the others. All were very fresh and so wonderfully tasty. The bigger ones were the best!! We would’ve ordered more oysters but Happy Hour was over. AJ recommended some really good white wine pairings, and I had Ketel One vodka neat that was excellent with my oysters. It being my first time to Boston, I heard we had to try the clam chowder. AJ said theirs is by far the best and the famous award winning clam chowder. It definitely is and a must have since there are more clams than potatoes. For the main entree, we each ordered the full baked lobster and it tasted phenomenal! Since our arrival to Boston, we have been eating clam chowder, lobster rolls, and baked lobster. Legal Seafood thus far has been the best we’ve had. Most of all, AJ was the best server and had the best recommendations. We came hungry and with lots of questions about the menu. AJ was very patient and never broke from being polite and cheerful with us despite our not being able to make up our minds. Make sure you try Legal Seafood while here especially at this location and ask for AJ. :). The manager came by our table as well to greet us and he was also very nice.
The food was good. I love the clam chowder and I usually don't like chowder. It is a bit pricey. But it's in a good location and great atmosphere. One the best seafood places in the Boston area. I can't wait to go here again and I definitely recommend this place!!!!!
Had the clam chowder here, it was very good. You cannot go wrong with this place. Always fresh seafood.
