On weekends, the restaurant is packed. Since they don't take reservations, you must arrive before 11:45 to avoid waiting for a table.

The food is genuinely spicy. If you can't handle intense spiciness, this is not the place for you! You'll find it hard to eat anything.

The restaurant provides a complimentary small dish of Sichuan pickles at each table. We ordered the Ma Ma Black Fish, Spicy Frog, Boiled Chicken in Chili Sauce, Peppercorn Tofu, and Chicken and Mushroom Dumplings (the only non-spicy dish). Everything was extremely spicy and flavorful—perfect for those who love a good kick.

The service is excellent. The waitstaff are well-trained, friendly, and attentive.

In conclusion, if you enjoy spicy food, this place is a fantastic choice.

I had an exceptional dining experience at the Mountain House Boston. The ambiance was captivating, and the food presentation was truly exquisite. The staff were welcoming, professional, and kind.

Each dish we tried was delightful, particularly the fried rice, green pepper pork, and the grilled beef ribs, which they prepare right before your eyes. The desserts – coconut jelly with sago and rice wine soy pudding were delectable. A suggestion for the restaurant: please consider adding the phenomenal orange-grape fresh juice, which was served at the end of our meal, to your menu. It was simply heavenly! 😊

Has been on my list, but they don't take res which is my big pet peeve. Luckily walked in after a killer parking spot and because it was just 2 of us, we got sat immediately. All the star were aligned because it's pretty tough to done here. Loved the pretty atmosphere and decor, and getting the fragrant tea and yummy spicy cabbage as soon as we sat. Everything is delicious. But be forewarned that it's super spicy. Lots of glasses of water needed! Don't eat the small green chilies that camouflage as green beans. Loved the dumplings in chili sauce and green beans!! My tolerance is high, but I was sweating a little.

Honestly def top 5 for Chinese food in Boston! But the service sucks, since is a newly opened restaurant it really popular. We waited close to 2 hours on a Friday night as is a walk in only restaurant. I believe during lunch time and weekday is better. Now moving on to the food, the taste is very authentic and delicious. It was def spicy but not overpowering any other flavors. The platter was good but the sauce is missing some flavor. The chili wonton, beans garlic pork and beef fried rice is my favorite. The restaurant is very busy, we asked the servicer 5 time for some water, and soy sauce but it took forever. However, the food was served pretty fast, took about 15 minutes also the complimentary tea was good. Very busy Chinese restaurant vibe.

I’ve been excited about this place since I tried their branch in NYC! The food was as good as I remembered and all the dishes were artistically pleasing. I really like the fried noodles. The service was quite good after we were seated but they currently don’t offer reservations so the wait time is usually long.
