Had a private cocktail/app event in the upstairs area. We pre-ordered food and did wine/beer. Jonathan was our server for ~25 people. He was amazing! Food was delicious. It was organized very well. We do this small networking event every year and we always pick this venue and going forward I will be requesting Jonathan. Thank you for a great evening with no issues.
Dinner plate Scallops were tasty. But the side dish basmati rice was dry. I would prefer risotto as the side. Onion rings were delicious.
Mac and cheese = first rate, hot chocolate cake was made of some form of ambrosia, the best I've ever had. Great staff and atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
A great spot in the heart of Newbury! It is always packed for breakfast/brunch on Saturday and Sunday. I highly recommend booking a reservation earlier in the week if you are trying to go on the weekend.
In terms of food, the lobster guacamole is delicious!
For the location, price and hype, you'd think they could do better here, but it's just too crammed with tables to offer a really high-quality dining experience at this Newbury Street institution. The food is pretty good, tho not really better than what you'd find across the street at Joe's American, and they have a nice but small wine and beer list. Clearly they don't need to try much harder since the place is packed in nice days when everyone wants to eat outside, just disappointing that there is so much potential here that isn't realized.
