Great coffee, sandwiches, and pastries. Everything is very fresh and the flavors and quality of ingredients are on point. It is overpriced though, no way to sugar coat that. Also, while decor is classy chic, comfort leaves a lot to be desired. It's another one of these far too bright glass and metal joints that seems designed for the sole purpose of looking good on Instagram. I've never seen so many college kids use a fork and knife to eat a sandwich before. Despite my angst, despite feeling like a zoo animal on display for someone's social media. I will be returning because the coffee is hot and strong, and I like the food.
The food and drinks at Tatte are so yum! I got the house latte- really good decision. I also ate the prosciutto and scrambled egg breakfast which was delicious but small. The only reason I give Tatte 4 stars is because it’s rather expensive and really busy. If you get there early enough in the day you can probably find a spot in the actual shop, otherwise you may have to sit in the big lobby of Northeastern. It’s great that there’s plenty of seating out there but because it’s such a large room with multiple doors to the outside, it can get quite cold in the winter.
Not a great savory menu, so don't go expecting to eat lunch. However, they have good coffee, and their pastries are incredible. I tried the Chocolate Rose and it was really good, 10/10 would recommend. I tried the lamb platter. FYI it's ground lamb on rice. I wish it was an actual piece of lamb. Also, I love that it comes with Labneh on the side.
Where to begin... you can't go wrong with the pastries. I had a parmesan and prosciutto egg scramble that was perfect with fresh sourdough bread. Great open spot with natural light and good for people watching. Espresso drinks were perfect!
I had two mozzarella tomato and pesto slices and a hot chocolate paying around $15 which for some can be a little bit expensive, but their food and drinks quality are next level!! The pizza was perfectly done with a lot of flavors and the hot chocolate too!! The ambient is really pretty and modern inside!! The outside chairs my had bad days because some were falling apart, but this is a really good place to eat and chat with friends!!
