Went here today around afternoon time. :) Amazing food and amazing service. Everyone is a total sweetheart!
The food is perfect proportion. The sushi is definitely worth it! Thick slices! I got drunken noodles and definitely flavorful and worth it. It had perfect proportions of everything (meat, noodles, and veggies). The dumplings were soft and flavorful and the sauce helped add more flavor to it. The papaya salad had a variety and very good. Good proportion of miso soup for a good price. I loved the Thai tea also.
The servers were attentive and nice. The cooks/chefs/etc were timely.
Definitely give this restaurant a chance if you never gone here before. I might have lived close but today was my first time. This will be one of my new go-tos. Check the pics of the dishes out!
I was super excited to learn that a sushi place had finally opened up in Dorchester. It's about time!
While I was initially skeptical of a place serving both Thai and sushi, the food at Thai Oishi did not disappoint. I've had a lot of sushi around Boston and this place easily competes with the best of them for a very reasonable price. I'm so glad I no longer have to drive all the way to Quincy to get decent sushi at a sit down restaurant.
My family went here on a Friday night and was able to get seated right away. The restaurant is recently renovated and doesn't get too busy given the area so you're able to just chill and chat with your party without much trouble.
For food, my party had their volcano hotate hokkaiyaki which you should not skip. We also had their TO ball which had some melt in your mouth seared salmon and was also super yummy.
For sushi - I loved the dragon roll and scallop roll here. The scallop roll was AMAZING. It was a favorite for not just me but others in my party also loved it.
My family's already trying to figure out when to come back here. We were told that they were getting their liquor license soon which we're very much looking forward to (hot sake with sushi anyone)?
Great sushi and very good Thai food! I love this place so much the owner and staff are very nice and friendly great service. I stoped by for lunch and order Thai beef noodle soup came out amazing highly recommend. Sushi is also good and fresh it melts in your mouth. Love it!
A friend told us about Oishi Thai and we were very pleasantly surprised. We each ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and it was outstanding. Veggies were fresh, cooked perfect, the rice noodles were made to order and not gummy. The Tom Yum soup, seen here, was outstanding lol. We try every Thai restaurant around south shore, this was quickly in the top 5 category. Maybe higher. Can’t wait to go back. I may order the same thing because it was so good and I’m sad it’s gone.
To note; It was a nice vibe inside, not just a dive place with good food. We will be dining in next time.
I’m so happy this place opened up. My two favorite types of food, Sushi & Thai food in one place. This is a dream come true and Thai Oishi does both so well…
Their Pineapple Fried Rice with Duck (in the photo) was incredible. The Sushi is also delicious. I’m also a huge fan of their Thai Iced Tea.
The Green Tea cake was also good and I enjoyed the texture, but it does have a bit of a strong after taste. I hope they add more dessert options down the line.
I will admit, the Pad Thai could use a little more flavor.
The Takoyaki was yummy!
Overall I already love this place. I love the location and the staff is awesome. Excellent service. I will be coming here very often and will bring more friends and family with me.
