A magical hidden gem right in the heart of Roslindale Square. Me and my family had such an amazing time using The Substation to host my event. I am so glad I found this venue on my search. From the hospitality to the beautiful aesthetics of the space everything was perfect. Laura, Adam and the rest of The Substation team were a dream to work with. I can’t wait to work with them in the future and recommend anyone to host their next event here !

We booked the Substation for our staff fun day/outing last July 29th. The venue was perfect for what we planned to do and it was accessible to public transport as well as to stores for us to buy supplies. It worked out to have Adams Park as our outdoor space for the venue.

Laura Charles who was our contact person was very helpful in identifying possible vendors for our event and communicated with us every step of the way. They set it up as we have requested.

We would recommend the place for any event. We had 60 people and space was still large enough to have an impromptu dance floor :)

I've been working at the WorkHub at the Substation for a few months now. It has exceeded my expectations and I strongly recommend it to anyone considering a local co-work space option or just a good place to hunker down and work while visiting. It's been exactly what I needed after taking on a new fully remote job. I didn't want to be stuck at home every day, nor did I want to have to trek every day to one of the downtown options. The Substation gives me a place to work (for me nearly every day) that allows me to separate home and work, while being close enough that there's no dreaded commute and yet still being in the thick of vibrant Rozzie Square. It's only steps away from the buses and trains that can get me downtown when needed. There's just enough programming to have things to look forward to, but without feeling like you're paying for a lot of stuff you can't really take advantage of. While I'm a bit of an introvert, I like that I have regulars there that I can chat with during down-time, but without it getting intrusive on the work that needs to get done. And having a co-work office in my own neighborhood has helped me be better plugged into what's happening in Roslindale! As someone who was formerly used to having my own private offices, my biggest concern had been that I'd have access to private phone rooms as needed for conference calls. In actuality, I've found that even on the days when I have to spend several hours on back to back calls, I've never had trouble with access to a private space. They've recently added a few "phone booths" recently that are perfect. Most of the time there are also small conference rooms available when you want more space. I also like that I can change things up by working in the great upstairs space.

Perfect place to work from home in an office space! Staff are super accommodating and everyone there is just super cool. Oh and they have a beer garden from April - July Fridays and Saturdays!

I did a work session at WorkHub for a few hours the other day. I was a bit worried prior but felt quite comfortable there; many safety protocols in place (ex: I learned the HVAC replaces the inside air multiple times an hour, apparently way more than the required levels). Nice clean, large inviting space, no distancing issues.  Comfy chair, strong internet, lots of outlets and different kinds of seating choices (like couches, tables, high tops). Location is *right* in the center of Rosi; a great respite from the home office! I'll be back.
