Very polite cashier and server experience. Had the black bean, avocado and quinoa wrap: super great, and vegan! (Disclaimer: I'm not vegan but sometimes I enjoy trying new things, ya know?)
I've been to Which Wich locations in other areas of the country (primarily around Denver) but never realized they had a presence in Boston. I was in the area for work for a few days and ended up eating at Which Wich probably 3 or 4 times over the course of 4 days. If you're a sandwich chain aficionado, I'd describe Which Wich as a large step above Subway, but a small step below Jersey Mike's or Jimmy John's.
The sandwiches are good, but lacking in substance for the price you pay. The ordering system is fun, but definitely confusing to people who have never been to a Which Wich before.
Ironically, my absolute favorite thing on their menu isn't a sandwich - it's their shakes. They are out of this world, seriously. The cake batter shakes are so rich and creamy you could drink it as a meal in itself. The Oreo shakes are generously stuffed with plenty of oreo chunks. I don't know what ice cream they use in their shakes, but they're definitely doing something right!
First time here and loved the concept of selecting the those multiple choices option for what what you want in your sandwich.
Food tastes amazing... very nice friendly and helpful staff. Definitely going back !!
The sandwich shop recently opened a few months ago and they're pretty common in other parts of the country. They're new to Boston as far as I know and they're just as good as I remember them. The only issue is they have the dreaded Newbury tax and the sandwiches and add ons easily raise the price considerably. They're worth checking out but definitely be aware of how much you're paying when you go.
2 Sandwich joints on Newbury now, this is currently best. It's a decent chain making some good sandwiches, tons of options and possibilities; to some it may seem confusing but it's really simple. Get a bag off the wall, grab a marker, mark what you want then bring it to register. I'm a sicko and order some out there combinations - it's been consistently good after a few visits.
