Southside Asian Cuisine

Today was my wife's and my first visit after being tipped off to it by one of my wife's friends. We have both traveled in Asia and appreciate "big" flavors in food of any kind. The layout and TVs suggest sports lounge, but the food is incredible Asia through and through. The Mala Beef met every word of the description of "spicy, flowery, salty, sweet, bitter, smokey (sic)". Our server was very careful to impress us that the dish was very spicy. It certainly was, and I suspect it might overwhelm some folks. The rich beef flavor, red pepper heat, veggies, Szechuan peppercorns and more came together perfectly! My wife had the chicken version of the same dish and it was just as good. The serving size was such that we both ended up taking home almost half after filling up at lunch. We will be back!

My husband and I had the house fried rice and Kung Pao Chicken. We enjoyed it tremendously. The food had great flavor. Their hot mustard was authentically hot. Their complimentary cookies were crisp and tasted fresh. Overall the food is very good and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Meh, nothing special despite the rave reviews. Decor is a sports bar and nothing Asian, food is just ok and service is fine. My mojito tasted nothing like a mojito that I’m used to drinking. Our meal arrived minutes after we started our appetizer, which is a deal breaker for me. Don’t try to rush me or I won’t return. Chicken fingers had a sweet batter that tasted a lot like cake dough- yuck. Fried rice lacked flavor but loaded with sprouts and very little rice. Garlic shrimp was the highlight of our dinner.

Oh my goodness! What an awesome restaurant. Been waiting for it to.open...comfortable atmosphere. The owners are wonderful! The food, service, atmosphere is so great. Definitely recommend highly. Have a great Mai Tai...dome wonderful food...and wonderful connections to other people 😀

I want this place to succeed; over the last 10 years or so, that place has been a few different things. The atmosphere is open and clean, but inviting. The service is great and very friendly. As of this review, they've been open for 2 weeks. Food is good; appetizers and soups are excellent, and sushi is good, but not excellent so here is hoping they step up a bit on that end. Overall, because the interior is beautiful, service is great, and it's very clean, we'll be back.
