While in Southbridge MA on a short visit from Minnesota and were looking for a nice place to have a dinner for two. This restaurant was an amazing experience, exceptional food and very warm welcome. We walked 0.4 miles from our hotel nearby (also a fantastic place, Southbridge Hotel and Conference center) and had a blast at the Metro Bistrot. One thing worth noting they don't serve alcohol, so you are supposed to show up with your own of wine. Since we did not know, and we did not have a car with us, we decided to still stay and enjoy the meal. Really cool authentic French selection, mushroom soup, snails, and pork roast.. And in the end, a surprise - the chef brought us a couple of glasses of excellent wine free of charge to complete already awesome experience. Thank you much ;) Good luck and keep up great work!

Had an amazing anniversary dinner with the wife. Wonderful husband and wife who own it made it very special with a great tasting menu, poached scallops, tomato soup, and blood sausage which were all amazing. The wife even sang a beautiful Italian love song just for us.

This little bistrot is a diamond hiding in a small strip mall. Marie-Paule, a co-owner is charming. The food and the ambiance reminded me of my days in Chateauroux. Everything was excellent and the price I'd right.

The Metro Bistrot is a small, quaint restaurant that transports you out of Southbridge and into France. There is beautiful lighting, artwork and a generally home-like feel to the space, which is amazing, considering its location in a nondescript strip mall! The food is absolutely delicious! I've been there twice and each time the flavors were exquisite and the dishes reasonably priced.
The couple that own and run the restaurant are very friendly and personable. They go out of their way to welcome each patron and, sometimes spend considerable time at your table discussing the meal, France or whatever suits you.
Dessert is not to be missed! Delicate and flavorful offerings leave you feeling satiated, but not bursting at the seams.
The only negative comments I would make is that it was very cold in there and I wished I'd had a sweater. Also, they have a BYOB policy. It seems quaint, however when my friend and I visited we didn't want a whole bottle of wine, but would have enjoyed a glass.
Overall, it is a local experience that should not be missed! A literal "hole in the wall" place with a LOT to offer!

Very nice place! Locally owned. The ratatouille and the scallops were amazing! All of the food was very well done! The owner was very kind and knowledgeable. Calm atmosphere. Would definitely return!
