This is one of my favorite family owned restaurants to go to near Leominster. It's supposed to look like a barn so don't be surprised if it's a little dark inside. I like the aesthetic because it complements the home style cooking that they do here. Think meat and potatoes when you order from the menu at Barbers Crossing. I suggest the yankee pot roast or the chicken pot pie if you have never been here before. The prime rib is excellent too. If you're going to order a burger or a sandwich you're going to be underwhelmed. It's not to say that Barbers Crossing makes a bad sandwich but only that there other places that specialize in those items. Overall Barbers Crossing does an excellent job at delivering that home style cooking.
A very good reasturant for this neck of the woods. It's a big place and has a long history but it's still a comfortable and friendly place with good older comfort fare and a super roast of beef entree. Highly recommend it to travlers and locals.
Let's of food options to choose from the menu. Food is always cooked well and if any problem they will make it right. Very friendly staff and attentive. A favorite stop.
Excellent friendly server. Super meals. Loved the pot roast like mom used to make. Pulled pork was perfect with those sweet potato fries. Will be back
Went for lunch on a Friday afternoon and sat at the bar. Service was painfully slow but the staff was nice. I ordered a burger and my girlfriend ordered a half rack of ribs. My burger was cold and missing a topping. The temperature of the food I imagine comes from waiting for the ribs to cook as I ordered medium rare. Had a side of butternut squash which was pretty good. The BBQ ribs were also a bit lacking as it seems the BBQ section of the menu advertised their excellent sauce. However the ribs were cooked to where the sugar in the sauce burned and only left a faint hint of any sauce. They were good, but could have been much better. I will go back, I want to like this place. The menu had some excellent choices I would like to try. An average first experience.
