“Pie Town is a great local eatery and has great ambience, especially outside on the patio adjacent to historic barre common in nice weather. Their specialty savory pies are awesome, fresh and made from scratch. We had the chicken pot pie. It was full of fresh veggies and teal chicken meat, lightly seasoned with a great, fresh gravy of just the right amount. The crust was obviously made from scratch, flavorful yet light and cooked perfectly. Pie Town specializes on n pies with 4 or so savory pies, 4-5 dessert type pies and flat breads. They also serve some other popular items like wings and salads that we didn't try. They feature the local Stone Cow micro brew beer and some other good beers and wines. I had the IPA which was as great. Locally owned and operated. Definitely worth a stop, and a little effect place for a meal if you are out leaf peeping from metro Boston this fall.”

“Best public course in Massachusetts and only 45 minutes from Boston. Rees jones designed this fabulous track and it shows in so many ways. Every hole is different and challenging in its own right. There is a free driving range (driver friendly) and an awesome resturant with a huge outdoor patio that over looks the 18th green. They serve up amazing food, ice cold beer, and cocktails, which is always fun after a round with family or friends. Blackstone National has it all and is fun for all ages. The staff is top notch, as well, which makes is why it is the best public course in MA and rivals some of the nice private clubs I've played through out New England.”
