I'm still mourning the loss of the Michigan-themed Oakland County restaurant Revival, so I was happy to see this new restaurant with a similar approach to serving traditional Michigan fare with a stylish upscale flair. The menu has a lot of tempting options to explore. We enjoyed the roast vegetable board, whitefish sandwich, chicken pot pie bowl, and Senate bean soup. The one thing I would change immediately would be the horrendously uncomfortable wire chairs.
What an incredible restaurant! Excellent service all the way around. The owner came and chatted with the table asking about our experience and chatted for a bit. They had a very extensive menu at fair prices with a home cooking done very well feel. Owned by a Michigander for Michiganders. The building renovations are worth dining here. What a top notch job, and I love that a lot of the materials were reclaimed. Paper straws too. Save the turtles. Try their loose leaf tea out. Try everything!
The service is superb! I can’t wait until they have a liquor license maybe next weekend?
I have had:
Buffalo cauliflower
Candied bacon
Egg Benedict. (Gluten free) served on a tomato
French toast
Venison sausage gravy and Michigan shaped biscuits
Venison burger and fries
Senate bean soup
All awesome. Especially the bean soup!
We went to the opening and overall, it was quite an enjoyable experience! Food and drinks were great (They are waiting to receive their liquor license in the mail for those who are wondering). The look, feel, and overall atmosphere of the place was great! I would most definitely eat here again.
What a great place! The staff are wonderful, the atmosphere is relaxing with a high-end feel. The food is spectacular. The pricing is fair. I would eat there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and go back for evening coffee. 20/10 recommended.
