“In two visits the food has been consistently amazing. The wait staff is excellent. Leia was our waitress both times and sweetie (actual name Sweeney) helped the first time. Both were very affable. I had the turkey and baby Swiss both times. I usually try something new each time I go somewhere, but this was so good I had to have it again. You can eat for $10 - 15 per person, plus tip. Just a hole in the wall you could miss if you weren't looking for it. ******* After several more trips, still fantastic. Also thanks to Kaitlin our newest server.”

“This is by far the most wonderful restaurant in the area! My husband and I drive 45 minutes from South Bend to eat here on Sunday’s and it is always full of people excited to get another taste of this awesome menu! To start, the food is wonderful; fresh, delicious and well priced for what you get! Louisa’s has such a sweet and homey atmosphere and the owner is constantly walking around checking on folks to make sure everyone is happy and taken care of. The wait staff is kind and courteous. The baked goods are to die for! The donuts are the best I’ve ever had and we always find other treats we can’t get enough of! Any reviewers that gave less than 5 stars must have been in a bad mood when they made their trip to Louisa’s. I’ve witnessed the owner kindly and apologetically comp a couple’s meal for a long wait during a busy time. She is so sweet and I am so thankful Louisa’s isn’t too far from home! What Michigan treasure!”

The order when you come in, self serve coffee, utensils, etc... is a little unusual for your typical roadside cafe/diner, but the staff is very helpful & friendly and they will provide you with assistance. Great place, will definitely stop in here again.”

“Beautiful, high end grocery store along the red arrow highway in lake country. I didn't buy any of the groceries but definitely ogled then. The store is beautiful and the food and beverage menus are compelling. We were meeting the person who roasts their coffee and enjoyed a decaf Americano during our visit”

“Tasty cafe in lake country owned by a remarkable, unassuming chef who achieved remarkable success in Chicago both for her culinary abilities and her philanthropy/give back efforts. The food was v good but I think I most enjoyed learning about the chef from the articles in the hallway. While I was reading them she came out of the kitchen to use the restroom and if I wasn't looking at her photo in a magazine article I would have had no idea who she was. An everyday hero”
