Trainwreck Grill & Ale House

What a neat restaurant. Perfect view of the Indiana Northeastern Railroad and Little River Railroad. The food was delicious. The bar looked really inviting. It's in the old Lake Shore & Michigan Southern freight station, so you've got some great history. It's directly across the tracks from the passenger station.

Super cool place. Very unique atmosphere inside. Super friendly staff. Great food and nice selection of adult beverages.

The food was absolutely amazing!! The White Cheddar Crab Dip was phenomenal!! The soup of day when we visited was an Ale Steak Potato soup, I've never experienced it before but it will now be a go to in my book, was extremely delicious!!! The Ribeye was cooked to perfection and the House Made Steak Dip is awesome!! This was our first visit...will not be our last!!

I highly recommend stopping in and grabbing a bite to eat. We made reservations for 6pm and arrived about 10 minutes early. We were seated right away upstairs in a very nice private area.

While we were in a private booth it seemed very loud, it seemed like noise dampening pads on the walls or maybe some artwork to help with the echo.

Our waiter was with us shortly after being seated and was quick to bring drinks and our appetizer (Wisconsin Cheese Cubes) which was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend! Once we placed our food orders it did not take long to get our plates and oh boy!!

I went with the Road Master MAC which was phenomenal and will definitely be getting again! I ordered a side of Loaded Smashed Baby Potatoes that were good but they were barely warm when they came out which was disappointing.

My wife ordered the Trainstack Chicken which she highly recommended but she had the same issue with her sides being barely warm when they came out.

All in all we highly recommend stopping in as it is truly a unique spot that not only has delicious food but staff that was happy and never made us wait. I am already looking forward to my next visit!
