    The customer service is only outdone by the pizza. You really will not find a better pie in Lansing. While Slice By Saddleback is new, it was formerly Detroit Frankies Wood Fired Brick Oven and they have respectfully continued the excellence created years ago.

    We ordered the supreme pizza and breadsticks. Including delivery (DoorDash) and tip the total was $39.22.

    The ingredients were fresh, and the pizza was well baked; but at the end of the day it was unremarkable. For us, it is in the same category as Blaze Pizza.

    When you factor in the $7.50 delivery fee, it was definitely not worth the overall cost.

    I'm a big fan of Saddleback's BBQ & Detroit Frankie's pizza was delicious, so when the transition to Slice took place, I knew I'd give them a try. I ordered a regular pepperoni pizza as my young kids aren't adventurous yet and it didn't disappoint. We also tried the Caramel Apple Pie dessert pizza and I wasn't sure if it would be one of those things that taste great, but you can only eat one piece of. It was and it wasn't. I was really surprised at how much I liked it! I ended up eating half the dessert pizza because my kids "don't like warm apples." Whatever. Their loss, my gain.

    I can't wait for Slice to expand - I hear they might serve pizza out of the Okemos location - so I can try some of their other unique pizza options. If you like wood fired pizza, give Slice a try. You won't be disappointed!

    Went there on their official opening day, ordered takeout and they had it all perfectly on time, staff was excited and friendly. Food was great, got the chicken and waffles pizza and the jammer square side. Both were great, loved the flavor combo of the syrupy waffles (still slightly crunchy) on the pizza and the sweet pepper jelly was a unique great taste on the cheese sticks.

    Overall solid, would recommend checking them out!!
