Seeing the place in action for five minutes, I was lead to suspect that the husband and wife behind the counter do all of the work to keep this place running, from prepping and cooking to ringing the register and stocking the coolers, etc. One look at Jose in his small kitchen and it's easy to tell this man is happy.
It's a bit crowded at meal times, but that's a great sign of good food. The locals are friendly and the food was great. It's far from fancy, but with good comfort food in our bellies, we felt right at home.
