Top end Thai! I am exceptionally picky about Thai, and Bankok Express is top notch. The noodles were perfect, not that sticky, cooked too long mess you can run into... PERFEFT. The spice was a little on the light side, but that's not bad. Those with a delicate tongue will appreciate it. I ordered "medium" but I'll go with "hot" next time.
This is a wonderful place for a quick sit down or take out of some top shelf Thai food. It's one of those tiny gem restaurants, you're glad is there.
Recently, I hosted a large dinner (75+ people) for work. Bangkok Express was recommended to me from a colleague living in the area. After speaking over the phone, we agreed it would be best to meet up and discuss the proper meal so that we can satisfy the taste buds of all. To say all of the guests were satisfied is an understatement! The food was PHENOMENAL! What made my experience even better, is that the customer service was EVEN BETTER! Rena, Sam and May went above and beyond to ensure that this event was a success. Everything from getting my special request of Halal meat to the tray warmers and everything in between! Also, the food was delivered on time and they even brought helping hands to unload all of the food and ensured all the guests needs were met. I highly recommend using Bangkok Express for all of your catering needs.
If I could give reviews based on flavor this would be a five star review. However, when reviewing a business you must take all facets of quality and service into account. The 1 Star aspect of this review was the lack of actual real food. I ordered a veggie delight. Typically in all other Thai restaurants I frequent you get tofu. Or at least it suggests it so you know it’s not coming. For $9 dollars I got a lot of delicious sauce, not nearly enough rice and very little vegetables. It screamed “trying to maximize profit” I actually had to go to Meijer and purchase some vegetables to actually get some substance.. I would rather a restaurant charge more (although the other three places I go typically have more and charge the same.) than try and be cheap with the food. I fear with a Thai restaurant just down the road that loads you up on good quality food for roughly the same price) this place will not last long. Sad, because I wanted so much to like this alternative.
Fantastic food and friendly service. It’s a great family operated small business. The cook often can be seen interacting within patrons in the dining room. I’ve visited weekly since the grand opening and anticipate many for enjoyable meals. Give them a try — you won’t be dissatisfied.
1st time here. Small place, seats about 30 if all tables filled. Had the lunch red curry (#4). Very tasty and rocket hot. Used to the other place that puts Thai basil in theirs, and it was missing here but still good. Service was very good. Bill came to $10.50 with a can of diet coke. Pretty good sized menu. Will be back to try some more. :)
