Breakwater Restaurant

I eat there often, and I ask myself why? Because it's right THERE, and they're actually OPEN when I need to eat. Unlike a few other diners that are closed at dinner time .. huh? Breakwater food? Meh. Staff? Good people. Prices? Too high. Restaurant itself? Needs some work. But they're open, the coffee is hot, and the people there are friendly. What more could you want? Get the food quality up, roll back a few prices, and they'd be another star on the rating.

Everything I've ordered here is excellent and reasonably priced. Ruben beef was thin and flavorful. Avocado breakfast melt was perfectly grilled. They have the best fries in town: thick, crispy, hot, and seasoned without being overly salted. Water and coffee refills showed up promptly. Employees were helpful in accommodating our large group. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area.

The food is usually good. Prices are also good. Along with portion size. But the place itself could use major repairs. The booth seats have rips or holes in almost all of the booths. Some of the wait staff is good and friendly but not all. And service can get kinda slow.

I had breakfast this morning here and it was delicious!! Never had a an empty cup of coffee! Great teamwork here, and a special shout out to our waitress Jean who was very friendly!! Great prices, great portions, and nice people. What more could you ask for?
