The Bank 1884 Food & Spirits

We have a cottage in Grindstone and are up every other weekend, The Bank is our favorite restaurant. From the moment you walk in your greeted with a smile and feel welcomed and appreciated. The bartenders and waitresses are excellent and the food is phenomenal!!!

The staff was very friendly; while being quite busy our server was attentive and kind. The building is excellent. However, the food was really mixed. The appetizers, salad, and sides were all really good. However, my prime rib was really tough. So tough that I couldn't finish my meal.

The building is very cool and I loved they wrapped the napkins in money wraps, but food was just ok. We had to send the soup back because it was cold. We wanted to share a salad and they made it difficult. Our waitress was nice, but needs to work on her service some. Wasn't really worth the price.

I went with a group of three families. Service and food was good. Would have been a five star rating but they will not do individual bills or split the check unless it is in exactly equal amounts. How is this even a thing in the service industry? It was three families, not 15 individual checks.

The shrimp cocktail was delicious. The shrimp were very high quality and the cocktail sauce was amazing. It was very horseradishy, but tasted excellent none the less. Then I got the berry salad, which was amazing. It had pecans, strawberries, blueberries, and mandarin orange slices, along with an amazing raspberry dressing. It was one of the best salads I have ever eaten, and I would definitely come back again. The bathrooms were also very well kept, and didn't smell at all. Nice!
