Being very generous with 4 stars but I felt like 3 was too low. Salad served in hot bowl, canned mushrooms on a 10 dollar burger, kids burger was extremely small even for my 5 year old. Server wears flip flops to work???? All you can eat fish your choice perch or cod.....oh wait at 6 on a Friday night they are already out of cod. There’s not many people here who ate all the cod. On further reflection I am reducing my rating to 3 stars now.
Love this place, especially the crispy chicken salad. I've also had the burgers which are fantastic as well. I'm from Florida, but when I'm in town, I make it a point to come here! Great atmosphere as well and on the water!
I like the environment here, it's a little bit dark, but not in a bad way. There are no TV's huge plus in my book. Its quiet and if you want to eat outside by the river they have a great balcony to eat on. The menu is pretty simple and so far I have had a smoke house burger and a pizza, both impressed me. Prices are fair - you can get a meal and walk away full for about $10.
I've recently discovered this place. They have a great variety of food and drinks for all ages. Also, a sitting area outside totally covered with an excellent view of the river. Friendly service and atmosphere make this a cool place to grab a bite.
There was a slight mix-up in the kitchen but the wait staff fixed it and compensated us for the long wait with a generous discount. The fries and tots and chips were fried perfectly. I was visiting from Lansing and if I have to eat in Portland again, this place would be a good place to choose. The patio on the river is a lovely place. (I think the kitchen was closing soon too, but that's not an excuse.)
