Firehouse Subs

We had a group lunch and from what I can tell everyone's sandwich was fine except mine. I ordered without mayonnaise, mustard or onions with oil and vinegar on the side. It came with onions and no oil or vinegar on the side or on the sandwich. At least the cookie was good and everyone else liked their sandwich. Disappointing.

We went to this new location 5 minutes before close and we received friendly service in the drive thru. The food was good as always. It is nice to have a firehouse subs closer to Portage now.

I know there has been some poor reviews as this location recently opened and is getting their momentum together. I had a great experience today during the lunch hour. There was one car in front of me, and I felt my wait was appropriate for a freshly made hot sub. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My order was correct, packaged well, and didn't forget napkins or straw (I have this issue at many drive thrus in the area). I'm happy this location is here!

My first time coming here since they opened, and it was better than the other location in Kalamazoo!

Keep in mind they just opened! The low reviews must have been the day they opened, because when I went yesterday it was very good. It didn’t take very long, the drive through kid was nice, and the woman who handed me my food did a great job making it.

The bread wasn’t soggy (even by the tine I got home), the meat was piled on nicely, the bacon was crispy (big plus for me considering the other FH never had crisp bacon!) and they veggies were fresh as they could be.

Not really sure what else I can say, but since I moved to the area I’ll be frequenting this joint weekly based off that first impression, good job.
