Came here after driving down to the village of Vicksburg on a clear Sunday evening. We entered and learned the kitchen had closed 5 minutes beforehand, but the cooks stayed open a little longer to cook for us. The grinder we ordered was amazing, and this place turned out to be an absolute gem. We even got to thank the cook in person. 5/5.
Absolutely the best Reuben sandwich in the area! Village Hide-A-Way uses chunks of corned beef roast instead of slices. Lovely flavor of slow roasted corned beef.
Beers are big, fresh & cold; 1/2 pound burgers beyond awesome! Nice folks, cool neon signs and local pics on display. A classic 'neighborhood' gathering spot. 5 stars!
A very good restaurant tucked away in a small town (Vicksburg)! Always packed, which is a very good sign, means good food and drinks! Small bar but great atmosphere with a variety of menu items, I've tried something different each time we went, come try a small town restaurant!
Fried fish, both walleye and perch, were top notch. Really looking forward to getting back and trying the highly recommended Reuben.
The location is tucked in a little bit and on the smaller side, but definitely don't let this keep you away. Make the trip; it is worth it!
