Darian was really knowledgeable! She recommended some tastings and had some great suggestions. Super hospital and friendly, and excellent spirits and cocktails. I had the Moonshine Margarita, highly recommended—just the right amount of sour and smokiness.
I'm a fan of this place because of the libations but definitely not for the service. It was not good and is almost always terrible unless the owners are around. This place has so much potential.
We finally visited them. I have had several beers at a festival and had their bottle liquor several times with friends. I have enjoyed it every time. I did like the beer I had (capt. Dave neipa) and the snacks were great. Cool space. Loved the chairs made from old barrel staves. The only issue I have was honestly with the service. We showed up and there were only maybe 7 people. The person working did not acknowledge us when we came in. They then came over and cleaned up tables near us. Still not even saying hi or I'll be right with you. Finally ordered. But it felt like we were more of a nuisance. Continued to ignore us. Was super friendly to the regulars there. So we left after 1 drink. I will continue to enjoy their beers at winter beer fest. We may go back sometime in the future, but we are not rush. I will update my review then if applicable.
We had flights of 6 different spirits which were all excellent except for the bourbon, which I feel needs to age for at least another year to extract better flavor profiles from the barrels. We let our server know that this was our first time there and although she was welcoming, she did not seem very interested in being there or telling us anything about the distillery or the different spirits. The decor was pretty plain and uninteresting.
