Morning Belle

I came here this past weekend while visiting friends in GR. I'm always weary about visiting breakfast spots that have very intricate spins on breakfast dishes, but this restaurant was absolutely amazing. I ordered the avocado toast, which was delicious and very beautifully presented. There was an issue with my boyfriends eggs being undercooked, but our server was quick to remedy the situation. We were especially impressed considering they were extremely busy on a Sunday morning. The manager even came by to check on us and make sure everything was good. Everyone that we interacted with was extremely friendly. Customer service always makes or breaks an experience, and the Morning Belle exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be coming back next time we're in the area!

I read the other reviews and was a little hesitant to try this out but I'm really glad we did! Perhaps the timing may have played a role, but at 11 am on a Monday there was no wait for a table and it didn't seem overly busy. There was also hardly a wait for our food, it came out fast and hot. We ordered the Morning Belle Benedict and the Gardener's Benedict- super highly recommend. The focaccia bread- chef's kiss. Why have I been settling for English muffins this whole time? We liked that they left the coffee carafes at the table with us so we could refill whenever. The reviews are correct in saying that the staff is kind and attentive! It goes without saying that the space is so cute and pretty. It's very open, spacious and clean. Even the "less comfy" seating was still comfortable. One of the other reviews mentioned it being too loud, we didn't have that problem even as it got busier before we left. This is a great place for a girl's brunch but I still plan on bringing my husband!

Do not go here if you don't have time to wait. We arrived at 11:30 am and were seated right away. But, they ran out of coffee, so we waited about 20 minutes for a second cup, and our food finally came out after we had been there for an hour and a half. Since I was on my lunch from work, I had to get a to-go box as soon as my food was brought out. I finally got a chance to reheat my food and actually try it an hour later, and it is delicious. It probably would have been better fresh, but it is still very tasty.
