Even though I didn't go there when Google notified me. This place does rock ate here multiple times. Super cheap and great food. Don't pass this Chinese restaurant.
Best Chinese take out on west side. Fast and good. Orange chicken is so fresh and good.
Fu Garden is a great place to grab lunch. They have an extensive menu for around $5.50 which includes an entree, fried rice, two crab rangoons and a drink. The food is made to order but served very quickly. They have limited seating inside, so I wouldn't bring a large group.
Fu Garden is our favorite Chinese restaurant in this part of Grand Rapids. They have a wide variety of menu selections, and it's prepared freshly for you after your order it. I've been going there to eat for a decade now, and have never gotten a botched order, or been served anything but the best quality of ingredients. A word to you people who feel that you are being treated rudely by the restaurant's owners. Try to put yourself in their shoes for a moment. It's just the 2 of them working there. They come in first thing in the morning, do the prep work, make the food to order. You won't find a steam table buffet there. They are always very busy, and they give 100 percent to their business.
Also, English is more than likely not their first language. It may be possible that they're having a hard time understanding you, especially if you are not enunciating your words properly, or having a second conversation with your girlfriend at the same time. So, try being patient, and please be polite. They really are nice people, and they make excellent food. And, their prices are outstanding. I don't think they've raised them once since I have been going there.
Anyone who has worked in a restaurant knows how hard that work is. A smile, a thank you, and some change in the piggy bank if you've got some to spare will show you a different side of the people at Fu Garden. That, and the fine food, will bring you back again and again.
