Fantastic food and fantastic service! So happy to have this in the neighborhood! Highly recommend the crab cheese, chicken and broccoli, and family style bean curd. It would be 100% perfect if they only had vegetarian eggrolls!!

Friends recommended us to try this restaurant. Tasty Chinese and Vetnamese food. Chief is a enthusiastic and kind young man.

I want to relate my experience while keeping it fair... family was excited to have a new Asian cuisine place nearby. We eat out aLOT so this was going to be our go-to.

The good: the prices are reasonable and the interior is well designed, modern, and inviting.. and clean. The person who took our carry out order was very personable. We ordered food for family of 4 which came to $63. And the food was good.

The bad: we got our food nicely stapled up in a paper sack and headed home. You know how it is with this style. Each dish comes in a classic Asian white cardboard box and you open all of them to figure which box has what food (not labeled). So it wasn't until all was spread out on the table and opened that we discovered the sesame chicken was missing. My son had the sesame chicken. Not a huge deal, right? Everyone makes a mistake sometimes. So my son walked back to the restaurant to ask for the dish.

The ugly: He was told that he must bring ALL the food back to the restaurant. So he had to come home empty handed, and our meal was further delayed. I called and spoke to the person about what this was about. "That's just our general policy." He sounded early 20s or younger. I advised we are eating and it's not a simple thing to box up everything up and bring it back. I find that ridiculous to have me bring everything back to prove to him I'm not ripping him off. Finally, "he can come back and I will give him the sesame chicken--I'm not going to sit here and ARGUE with you." Then said hold a minute, he is going to have me speak with his "boss." A minute goes by and he (not the boss) comes on again and says to come in and he will give the sesame chicken, and we did this. Who is going to order $63 food and then try to steal an order of sesame chicken? I do not feel comfortable going back to this place and that disappoints me.

Please support the new Gaslight Kitchen Asian- themed restaurant located in EGR next to Rite Aid (former Village Belles office). This is family owned and run, Mom & Dad are in kitchen, teenagers are taking orders and waiting tables, and 10 year old is the greeter. Food is fresh and well-made. Reasonably priced, especially given the large portions. Eat in or take-out. Restaurant has been completely remodeled, is immaculate and well-staffed.
