This is the best restaurant in West Michigan. A grand experience from start to finish. The view, the service and the food, what fantastic food! We had octopus and salmon as starters and steak and paella for dinner and finished with mind blowing desserts. Don’t miss out on the craft cocktails. The best.

Let’s just start by rating MDRD an easy 5/5. My girlfriend and I dined here last night, 2/16/21 for my birthday and it was an amazing experience. Service was incredible. Our server was professional and very personable/friendly. The food, where to begin. Amazing. I ordered the paella, which I highly recommend. My girlfriend ordered the beef tenderloin. Also highly recommended. Both dishes were perfect in taste, presentation and portion size. Lastly, the view and seating. Make sure you reserve and request the stadium seating. Perfectly private corner seating with an even better view of the city skyline while dining. Simply perfect. Highly recommend and we will be back very soon!

My husband and I were very excited to visit MDRD, and see all the new renovations. It did not disappoint! Upon arriving the staff were very professional and had a great process of communicating when the tables will be ready. When you walk out of the elevator the aesthetic is very modern but welcoming. The whole place was very clean and eye catching. I did not feel like I was still in Grand Rapids. We were directed to our table as soon as we arrived. All of the tables are spaced out at a comfortable distance but still have a great view of the GR skyline. We sat at a table on the stairs, and it felt like a private dining experience. Our server had great recommendations and knowledge about everything featured on the menu. He encouraged us to try some plates we wouldn't have usually tried, and I am so glad we we did. Everything was plated well, came out in a timely manor, and tasted amazing. The portions are larger than I thought for tapas, which is an added bonus. I could not recommend this place more! I cannot wait to come back to bring friends and family.

I’m not one to leave reviews but this restaurant is so deserving. Hands down the best I’ve been to in GR and that is saying a lot! 10/10 for food, drinks, atmosphere, service and ambiance! That seems rare to come by these days. Well done MDRD! (P.S. do yourself a favor and get the octopus!)

This restaurant is one of a kind of Grand Rapids. The culinary expedition that you will embark on is unlike any other. The flavors, the food. The experience. All perfectly choreographed to delight. Special shout-out to our server Brandon who not only enhanced the experience, he made the experience. Make sure to ask for him. MDRD is a must!
