Mikado Sushi Restaurant

Favorite sushi place in Kentwood. Very consistent and high quality. Love the warm hand towels and loose leaf green tea, especially in winter. Kind staff and good selection of various kinds of sushi. Always take my friends here when I get the chance.

Food was good, but not great. Everything I ordered (app's, sushi, soup) came out about the same time so wasn't able to enjoy the hot items hot.

Close to were I live but much better option in GR

I can only speak to the sushi quality and ordering from the sushi bar: I had a great experience and the quality of the sushi was very good. A nice place to eat and very nice service all around. Easy 5 stars.

I cannot tell you how amazing this place is. From service to food to atmosphere this restaurant is truly wonderful. Although I must say that this store is hard to spot due to blinds covering the inside, do not let this deter you. To start our waitress was extremely nice and I have no complaints what so ever. She was extremely helpful answering our questions and had a lovely attitude. When we sat down we were greeted with a pallet cleanser and tea, along with a free side of miso soup, all of which tasted great. Our entree was a blue fusion roll which was a reasonable cost and, once again, tasted absolutely amazing. It was the best sushi I have had in my entire life (then again there aren't many sushi shops I know of in Grand Rapids). I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone that enjoys delicious Japanese food and a friendly atmosphere.

Frequent flier at Mikado -- very very good Sushi. Better than Ju and others. One step below Tokyo Grill (but not far), but much closer and a better value. Very pleasant folks to deal with. They need to update their website with a real Menu, as we like to try new Sushi pieces from time to time. They need to improve their Beer selection, but the sushi is awesome.
