Real Food Cafe is a breakfast and brunch type diner. There’s usually a long line on the weekends but it moves really fast. The food is pretty good .... my favorite is the Eggs Benedict. Service is good. They only take cash or checks so be prepared.
We all know that Real Food Cafe is a great breakfast place, and therefore we going knowing that there will be a wait. For an after-church time, we surprisingly didn't wait more than 20minutes for a table (win!). Our waitress was friendly and my coffee was great (not the cheap diner stuff, but real coffee!). We decided to split a sweet and a savory dish because it was impossible to tell, in the moment, what we were craving. Let me tell you, the pancakes were MASSIVE! Think the size of a medium/personal pizza, stack of 3 or 4. GINORMOUS! We got the Cinnamon Roll Pancake and the Veggie Hash Skillet. Pancakes were soft and had just the right amount of cinnamon and icing (I did not need to add syrup, ate them "as is", my friend was able to add syrup). The veggie hash with whole wheat toast was perfect amount of savory (so many veggies and cheese!!!) Love this place!
Delicious food! The Philly skillet was great! Service was good, even though they were super busy. Only downfall is that they only accept cash. I understand why but greatly disagree with it.
Is this place real? Yes. I only leave honest reviews. Let me tell you how good this sausage gravy is. ???????? Thick American fries. The toaster actually toasts both sides. The wait wasn't long, maybe 20 minutes on a Saturday. Fresh iced tea. Loose sugar for you coffee drinkers. Napkins at my table. APPLE BUTTER packets at my table along with traditional strawberry, grape, and orange marmalade. Kitchen looked clean, and free of smoke/ fire damage. There are a lot of families here, too. Large waiting area, so you probably don't have to stand. Went to pay, they don't take credit cards. They told me there is a bank across the street or an ATM in the back. ????????
This is a nice, local place that I would come to for a leisurely meal with 1 friend that I really wanted to catch up with at a time when I am not very hungry. The food was pretty good. The healthy waffle was delicious. It tastes just like a parfait! And the place only takes cash which is a bit dated. The wait was extremely long. There was a wait to sit, a wait to order, a wait for drinks, a wait for food, and a wait to check-out. Not a very good place if you have any time constraint at all. The wait staff seemed pretty friendly. Perhaps they could organize the tables differently to have more seating.
