Agon's Restaurant

Probably in my top three favorite breakfast places in Grand Rapids. Family-owned restaurant with great prices and friendly staff.

Great service!!! EXCELLENT FOOD!
It was just an all around nice place 2 have lunch with my fellow
crewmembers.
We all left very satisfied with the service, quality of food, speed of service and cost of our lunches.
We WILL be back.

My wife & I have known the family for more than
44 years. We have always enjoyed eating their
delicious homemade food at least every week all
these years & never been disappointed. They are
honest, good hearted, hard working & friendly
family. They have great tasting soups, sandwiches,
meals especially their famous Tuesday’s baked chicken, Wednesday’ liver & onions, Thursday’s
variety specials & great breakfasts.

Like going back in time to a neighborhood family diner. My grandfather used to take me there when I was a kid, 30 years ago. It was just as I remembered it. I had the turkey club sandwich with fries. Despite being very busy (14 of the 15 or so tables filled), the waitress took my order promptly and the food came out quickly and was of high quality at a reasonable price.

Here's a few tips if you decide to give this place a try. Turn your phone off and grab the paper instead. You'll enjoy the experience more if you unplug. Bring cash, I believe they do not accept credit cards. There are not too many places like this around these days... Went it while you can.
