Food was great service was good. Would probably have given 5 stars had my nieces gotten their food the same time as the rest of us.

We were in Adrian adventuring last weekend and before we'd gone I looked online for restaurants we hadn't been to before and found JR's. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it did not disappoint. The server was very nice and made some decent recommendations. We checked out the menu which has a nice variety.

We also noted there was a special which was an appetizer and two entrees for $22.00, so we decided on that. Started with a chip and queso basket which was very good. For the entrees my wife got the chicken tenders and beer battered fries, and I got the wet burrito. Definitely two more home runs: the burrito was massive and came with cheese, lettuce and tomato on top, ground beef and refried beans inside (you can also get it with chicken), and salsa and sour cream on the side. Everything was tasty; I actually could not finish it, that's how big it was.

The wife's chicken was also great: decent sized tenders in a light but crisp batter. The fries were amazing, a revelation: longer slices of potatoes about the width of a steak fry but not quite as thick. Cooked perfectly crisp outside and light and fluffy inside. Safe to say we enjoyed everything and will for sure stop in again next time we're down that way.

Extensive menu with a lot of variety. Not just typical bar and grill food. I had the Cuban pork sandwich which was really good and very filling. My supervisor had the soft shell beef tacos, which she couldn't finish. Three very large over stuffed tacos! Wait staff was quick and very attentive. Definitely a place to go back to.
