FRESH START CONEY ISLAND AND RESTAURANT

I ordered a patty melt, fish & chips and chili fries and I asked that the fries be well done/crisp. The fries were barely cooked and when I sent them back I swear they gave me the same chili fries in a different container. The fish was overcooked and it was/is a very bad experience and “I” would not recommend this place! $25 for nothing! *****Update! The manager of this place (sorry I forgot your name) literally called and bugged me about making this right (I’ve never seen such tenacity). He/they replaced the order and were very happy to do it. The food was better but the customer service made it great! I will go back.

The young lady who waited on us was super nice. Our food was okay. Typical coney food. Grilled chicken pita was on-point. I didn't notice much of a menu change since the new ownership.
We will return to support local. I do hope to see some new menu items soon (maybe mix it up a bit!).

I love this restaurant! The food is top-notch. The portion sizes are great. The service is outstanding! If any of those things sound good to you, definitely visit Fresh Start!

We had a class reunion here and a week later a birthday party. We had good food and good service and also enjoyed seeing the many historical pictures of Center Line and Warren. Even got a free history book. All in all was good experience so we will be back some evenings as they are one of the few restaurants open in the evenings.
