This place was a pleasant surprise. It caught our eye because of the beautiful gardening and we decided to back track to stop in and see. The menu was full of Coney style options but with healthier substitutions in the items.
Great menu choices. Friendly service. Food was delicious. My first time here. I will go back.
I just had my first visit earlier today and it was AMAZING! I tried the chicken caesar salad and it was amazing! I also tried the home-made chicken noodle soup and that was amazing too! The pita bread was also great! The service was fast and the waitress who served us was so very nice and kind. I highly recommend you come and visit Haney's because it is so great. 10/10 will come here again!
My mother in law chose here for Mother's Day breakfast/brunch. As soon as I walked in I recognized the old Howard Johnsons design! Flashback to childhood. Anyway, being Mother's Day, of course they were super busy. It only took a few minutes for them to seat us, though. Our waitress (Maria?) was FANTASTIC. She had many tables and still took the time to chat, suggest a couple things from the menu, and refill drinks. FANTASTIC. The food was excellent and we all left stuffed. I've never been to Haney's before, but places like this catch you off guard when they're so friendly. On a busy day like Mother's Day, they could have shuffled us in and out, but everyone took the time to make sure we were happy and fed.
I'm not sure I want to share how good Haney's is. It will only make it more crowded. The food is inexpensive, generous, and good. The wait staff is friendly. I visited three times last week. I ordered the Reuben the first time. I enjoyed it for two reasons. The sandwich was the right size. Some places make them too large, and secondly, the cook concentrated on making it right. The beef was heated through, the cheese had melted and the outside of the sandwich was crisp without being burned. Day two I ordered a hearty bowl of chicken noodle soup and a roast beef and cheese wrap, and finally a bowl of Reuben soup and chicken parmesan sliders. All the food was excellent and service was efficient despite the place being full.
