Captain Jay's Fish & Chicken

I got the shrimp and catfish dinner and everybody else got chicken. I asked for lemon pepper seasoning and they barely put some on there but other than that, the food was pretty good. Thanks

Great fried chicken and fish but extremely slow service at Eastpointe location, even if you call ahead. Expect the order to not be ready whenever you arrive. On 4 separate occasions orders not ready. Been to Oak Park, MI location and received great service with a smile .

This placed was recommended to me by a friend. Glad I finally went.

Friendly atmosphere and clean. Food is really good, yum!! You can have different types of flavored sesonings on your fries and chicken. They don't have a lot of sides like Popeye's but they are good.

The refrigerated bottle drinks are placed in the dining area near the ordering counter. The fountain drinks are behind the counter, so no serving yourself and refilling your own drink.

The dining area is small but very clean. I had to look for the trash bin, it wasn't located in an convenient place, and maybe it could be placed nearer were people sit in the dining area.

In the future I might try the fish.

Best fried chicken and shrimp around. The website has everything listed by weight but in store they do everything by the piece. The whole wing with lemon pepper is the way to go. Add some shrimp and hot sauce and it’s a great meal. Call at least 15-20 minute ahead to be ready when you get there. They’re always busy.
