Gilbert's Lodge

Gilberts is okay for American style food, large appetizers and beer. The food is good, but nothing unique to them. The train going above the restaurant is a neat feature to look out for. The staff have all seemed pretty nice. If you're vegan/vegetarian, this place doesn't offer a lot of options.

The food is reliably okay here. It always seems to need just a smidge more seasoning. The last time I went my waitress moved like she had absolutely nowhere in particular to be at any moment. There was no sense of urgency in her saunter at all. I watched her service more than just my table and she walked around like she was at home getting water for her newly arrived guests. Her attitude was pleasant and she got our orders right so there's that. I hope the cause of her relaxed pace wasn't because she was ill or in pain. She did have that sun kissed look about her. More on the side of too many kisses from the sun. So maybe that was it. ????????‍♀️

Delicious, great beer selection. Great menu selection. The brunch menu is definitely something I will go back to try. Cozy atmosphere. All around great!

Great place with great food. Only reason for one less star is that I find it a bit pricey! Great atmosphere as well, my favorites are the turkey club and the crispy chicken salad.

Always able to accommodate a large group. They have a diverse menu to appeal to multiple tastes and everything is well priced. The rustic cabin atmosphere is also very cool. My son loves to watch the train hanging from the ceiling. I higly recommend the burgers and house made pizza. Our go to place to take visitors to the area.
