Pros: New spot, food was ok our server was great. The atmosphere feels high scale.
Cons: Essentially Valet parking only as spots are non existent. Our plates already had chips and paint missing and water glasses were smudged. The men's bathroom had a full waste bin and a empty paper towel dispenser. It's also in the middle of a marina, forget nice lake views.
Summary, would be 5 star if it were cheaper but for how much you spend I couldn't look past some of the basics.
Pros:
- Food was delicious and beautifully presented.
- SS Roll was delicious and contained a full lobster.
- Atmosphere was good. I’m sure the view out of the water would’ve been nice.
Cons:
- Basically forced to valet as all the spots by the restaurant are valet only. No thanks.
- We had initially called and made a reservation, but they didn’t save our reservation. This caused the staff to be a bit “shaken” as at times they seemed a bit unorganized.
- Food seems a bit overpriced for what you get. Some items are reasonably priced.
Chef Bobby and his co-owner Tom did an amazing job revamping the old Brownie's which was one of my hang outs back in the 80s
The crab cakes were the best I have ever had, all crab meat, & not filled with bread crumbs.
The sushi was also the freshest and best I've ever had as well.
I can't wait to go back to try all the other dishes.
No pun intended but whole experience including the staff were off The Hook !!!!
Chef Bobby Nahra has redesigned Brownies into an elevated seafood sensation that I'm sure will take off soon! Relaxed, clean, and sophisticated, the menu has something for everyone. The sushi was out of this world, the oysters were extremely fresh and cold, the crab cakes were 'the bestin my life' exclaimed my boyfriend, and the lentil dish was amassed with fresh roasted veggies, homemade hummus, and arugula!
We finished our meal with the signature key lime tart dessert that surprised us with blueberry creme and popping lime bubbles, bulls hidden inside the deconstructed graham cracker crust. We topped off the whole thing with a shared chocolate martini and made friends with the people at the next table. Definitely a memorable lunch!! Not to be missed!
