King is incredible! So is his business, Detroit Seafood Spot Bar & Grill. From the cooking, to the packaging (to-go, or catering style) and King's general mood, this place is a great. I was able to feed a group effortlessly; their meals were individually-packaged, in advance, for them to take home at the end of the night (perfect for a picnic/outdoor event). All items needed were included, down to the gloves. Will be recommending/going back!
Toya is absolutely an total vibe… I wasn’t having the best day and she changed my whole mood… drink of the day had me feeling nice… he chef Tony hooked my platter up n the food was freaking amazing… I don’t write reviews a lot but I hope to get them plenty of more business…
Thank you for staying open for us! You don’t know how hungry we we’re! Everything was closed “pandemic style “ but listen when I say I appreciate you for feeding us this late! I appreciate you and your son thank you both. The fish and chicken was bomb😃 well recommended tell them B&J sent you!
Listen if ur looking for great food, amazing vibe, good music, great conversation. Check out Detroit Seafood. Soon as I walked in they made feel at home. I thought I was just getting a take out but I ended up staying and finishing my whole meal. The seafood boil is a must have, seasoned perfectly ,Carlos the Chef definitely puts his heart into his cooking, Toy is just a vibe I'm herself. Go check it out. Black owned and definitely worth the money. Thank you guys, I will definitely be back. Came in a customer, left out family!!!!!!!
First visit, I will say the customer service was amazing, but there was a few things with my order. I ordered the triple cheese and shrimp stuffed potato ( cut up potatoes, not actually stuffed) and a shot of vodka. The seasoning was very good, the potatoes were not really soft and the cheese was very soupy ( poured a lot of it out)and full of grease. I did ask the young lady that took my order about the$5.00 shots, in which she said it ended at a certain time, yet she told me she had 3 different ones that she could do for 5.00. I did choose one. I was overcharged and didn’t realize it until I got home. I did call but there was no answer, tried today still no answer. In the menu that I was provided the potato was$ 16.99, the shot was told to me $ 5.00 - well looking at my receipt I was charged $29.75 including tax. My receipt: 17.67 for the potato, $ 10.40 for the vodka shot sales tax $1.68, I will try and call again.
Update: In fairness I wanted to update with a follow up, I did speak with the manager King and he explained that there are signs that notify the customer of the 4% fee when using a credit card, something that I failed to see or question, also that the systems automatically charge the regular price with the liquor after happy hour. I did not speak with him about the soupy cheese, only about the payment. He did offer to give me a shot on him if I decide to visit again.
