Mr. Miguel's Mexican Grille & Cantina

Waitress was mediocre at best they were all chilling with three customers after the lunch rush like they didn't care. Plus a gnat layer on my taco. I've definitely have had way better service here. And I had to find my waitress to pay her.

We love going to Mr. Miguel's.
Food is great. They text specials, offer deals and discounts.
Love the outdoor patio, and always good service.
The one thing this place can improve is cleanliness.
My house should not be cleaner than the restaurant.
Ripped carpet, dirty booths and bathroom floors are filthy.
Invest some money into the interior, and this place is top notch!!!!

It is difficult to rate and my spouse would very much disagree with my rating. I really enjoy the food and the drinks. The atmosphere is casual and warm. I really liked when they had live music, too, (David Simon, Spanish guitarist/singer is fantastic).

However, my husband refuses to go here and will only come on one day - my birthday - because the service is so bad. Every single time. Seriously. Every time.

We have been ignored. We've had wrong dishes. We've been kept waiting for our bill for 30 mins. We weren't given more salsa, drinks, etc. I could give a laundry list, but I'll give one shining example.

On my birthday this past year, I arrived before my parents and husband, so I waited to be seated. However, two other groups were seated before me who had arrived after me. When I asked about this, I was told that it would be a few more minutes and wasn't given any further explanation.

Once seated, our service was slow and minimal, but the icing on the cake was when my mother told our waitress, "It's her birthday today and she only comes here on her birthday," and the waitress replied with, "Okay." Serious as a heart attack.

My mom was confused because the waitress didn't even wish me a happy birthday or even smile. She just said, plainly, "Okay." Yep. Then later she brought me a different dessert than I asked for, which my mom again reminded her was my birthday dessert, and the waitress didn't say anything that time.

I still laugh about it. I find it hilarious. But that's an example of why my spouse refuses to go there on any other day besides my birthday. Great margaritas, though :o)

Happy Hour specials are AWESOME!!! Very good food. Friendly staff. I've had them cater a nacho buffet at my job and everyone loved it! Now every Thurs we use a food delivery service and order food from here. Every week more and more employees are trying and loving their food.
