The Big Apple

Mary was a kick-a@@ waitress who took care of us and hustled to take care of the entire restaurant. She was the only on the floor and bartended as well, in between taking and serving orders.

Came in late evening with my son after bicycling from Hart MI. Had two cold beers, olive burger and tater tots. My son had all you can eat spaghetti. Both were exceptionally tasty. Owner sat down and talked about life and his career. He’s quite interesting and has some great stories to tell. Be sure to tell him Alex and Tom from Fort Wayne IN said “hello “!!

Although this small town restaurant has had some ups and downs......it now has settled into a solid local eatery. We enjoyed the fish fry very much.....4 nice pieces of cod with all you can eat available. Much more pleasant when not too full and loud. There is a new nature walk nearby that makes a perfect after dinner stroll.

Better than you'd anticipate from the bleak location and exterior. Typical bar food, but quality is very good to excellent. Went back twice.

Got 6 excellent hot chicken wings with fries and coleslaw for $8.50. My wife got personal pizza with 4 toppings $7.00 ! Was quite lively on Wednesday about 6pm. Local pickleball group partying. Hilarious! The waitress got our order in before the group. Good find. Happy hour 4-6pm. We got coffee for drive back to Lansing.
