Fricano's Manistee River

Newly opened restaurant that's definitwly worth checking out! Dine with views of the river. Friendly and adequately staffed, no wait (even for our party of 8), upbeat atmosphere, kid friendly, comfortable, clean, and really tasty food! The pizza crusts are very thin and crispy. Order several 12" pizzas to enjoy the various topping combinations. The giant soft pretzel was gourmet and the whitefish spread was very tasty too.

As an experienced traveler in Italy, I’ve tried all kinds of pizzas and Fricano’s pizza is definitely right up in there. However, while the flavors are presented, the presentation needs a little work. The portion of the pizza crust was missing and the sliced pieces were overlapping as if the pizza wasn’t sliding properly onto the serving dish. Granted, I understand the restaurant is new so I hope the chefs master the presentation of the pizza. After all, the visualization of the meal is just as important as the flavors. Looking forward to next time.

Super cool addition to Manistee. They offer a good variety and some Michigan staples. Pretty good pizza, especially for the same price or cheaper the one of those major pizza chains. We also tried the spinach artichoke dip, which needed some seasoning but overall decent. I would bump up one star if they didn't play 90's music...perhaps more of an Italian flare would be optimal during dinner?
