The barbecue flavor is exquisite! The staff is top notch with the most friendly atmosphere I have ever experienced in downtown Midland. The appetizer menu is to die for and the decor has a very hometown yet worldly feel. If I could give twenty thousand stars I would, highly recommend. Will definitely partake again, many times and more! Two thumbs up!

The brisket melted in my mouth. It was absolutely delicious. They really know what they are doing with BBQ. They BBQ sauces are also very well done. They Carolina Mustard quickly became my favorite. The service was also wonderful. I walked away full and happy without emptying my wallet.

Good BBQ house! Only visited once so far (going back for sure), but thought everything was done well. Good layout and seating, good menu, but could use a few more selections. Waitstaff was excellent. Drink selection OK. Was a bit loud. Nice addition to downtown Midland

I’m from NC, so I hold my BBQ in high regard. I’m a vegetarian to boot, so it’s really hard to find a good place that has options. So when I saw the menu, I knew I had to try it. The food did not disappoint. Exceeded my expectations totally. The BBQ was great, sauces fantastic, sides amazing, and my drink was made perfectly. I’m on a road trip right now traveling through many states, and this is by far the best food I’ve had on my trip. Definitely hope to stop by here again someday!

We dined here on opening day; the experience was great and the food was excellent. We hardly had to wait for a table. Highly recommend the salmon and the ribs - both were excellent! Tables come equipped with six types of barbecue sauce: Texas, Korean, Carolina, Mustard, Molasses, and T.C. (Traverse City). Hard to pick a favorite here. Our server, Rachel, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful when we had questions. One drawback: the dining room has an "industrial" vibe (think open ceilings and hard surfaces), so it gets REALLY LOUD in there. Otherwise, it was a great time, great food, lots of fun. We'll go back in a few months to see if the quality of the food and service holds up. Welcome to Midland's downtown restaurant scene, Molasses!
