Angelo's Chop House

This place is exceptional if you are a 50s style steakhouse person. I am, loved the house mushroom sauce on my New York strip, spot on. The music selection was on par as well, just a great place to eat. Service was great staff very accommodating and friendly.

Our first time visiting and we were very impressed. The staff was smiling and friendly and our waitress, Hailey, was awesome! The food was very good and the portions were large. The price was fair for the amount you get. We will definitely return!

Well I didn’t come here for the bread, yea it’s small but mine was hot and acceptable. Now for the best crab legs downriver this is the spot. Appetizers were on point and the service was outstanding. My new favorite dinner spot on Monroe...Simply marvelous ????????????????

Service was slow, but the food was mostly good. Our first experience was pretty bad. We were looking for an early Sunday dinner and wanted to try Angelo's. We got there at 3:45, walked in to a full staff, and the hostess told us they didn't open until 4 (then why wasn't the door locked?) - there isn't a sign with their hours posted. She told us we could wait in the parking lot for 15 minutes. Why not offer to sit us at the bar? Our second attempt was successful, although there was a lot of confusion on where to seat us (it was about 6pm on a weeknight and the place wasn't even a quarter full.) We ordered wine and a cocktail, both were great. The hummus plate appetizer was tasty as well. We ordered salads with the meal, and both came out with a lot of brown lettuce. We asked to replace the salads with soup, which also generated a lot of confusion, but ultimately the soup was good. Our steaks came out perfect, and were pretty delicious. Overall, I think they'll work the kinks out, and if they can get the salads right, we'd go back.
